The Authors

Jennifer Cohen is the President of Word-Nerd.com. She has been tutoring students for the PSAT, SAT and GRE since 1997, and she serves on the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee. Jennifer works with students to help prepare them for the college admissions process, and her standardized test expertise has made her a valued television guest. Jennifer graduated from Duke University in 1995.

Gary Cohen has served on the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee since 1996. He has interviewed over 100 applicants to Duke as part of the admissions process. Gary spent 8 years practicing corporate and tax law at two large law firms before founding an online media company and Word-Nerd.com. Gary graduated from Duke University in 1992 and the Duke University School of Law in 1995.

 

Sheldon the Word-Nerd enjoys guiding students through the rigors of standardized tests. He has a special affinity for vocabulary and has agreed to serve as the Official Spokesnerd for Word-Nerd.com. When asked about his educational background, Sheldon claims to be a student of the world.
